Kingfisher Mill (13042)

Kingfisher Mill is one of those sires that information is hard to come by. He has an interesting pedigree and has been used very little in the sim. He has the potential to produce nice BP earners.

Real Life- Kingfisher Mill is by Riverman. His dam sire is Sir Tristram and his dam’s dam sire is Nureyev. Kingfisher was a graded stakes winner but had a short eleven-race career. Finding real life progeny for this guy is tough to do and when you do find them nothing really jumps out at you.

Sim Life – Kingfisher Mill has fifteen sim runners. Two of those are allowance winners on turf. None of his runners have more than ten starts. He is producing better on turf than dirt and his runners tend to do better in races over a mile. He has been used with some nicer dam sires and dam’s dam sires so his progeny results should continue to improve.

Breeding Suggestions – For Kingfisher Mill there are many options. I think you would want to cater to what he seems to be producing in the sim now a turf stamina influence. Two lines seem to fit that description well Roberto and Ribot. Northern Dancer will appear in the fifth generation of Kingfisher Mill’s progeny so inbreeding there might be good as well. Turf influenced Raise a Native line sires would seem to blend well like Affirmed, Miswaki, Seeking the Gold, or Woodman. Buckpasser would also be a line that could blend in well with Kingfisher Mill.

Bargain Bred – Kingfisher Mill gets down around 30 BPs by the weeks end so should make solid bargain sire.

Kingfisher Mill (13042) X Lomitas (GB) (3577) X Relko (GB) (5261)

What to Expect – Kingfisher Mill’s runners should be a little late maturing. They should be solid youngsters but not really hit their stride until they turn four. His runners have been ok on the dirt but he will likely produce pretty good turf route runners.
